What is the Multiple Widget feature?
The Multiple Widget feature allows users to integrate and customize multiple communication channels, such as WhatsApp and Chatbot, as website widgets. It provides tools to easily configure, preview, and manage these channels within a centralized platform.
How to Set Up Multiple Widget:
Log In to ControlHippo:
- Go to the ControlHippo platform and log in with your credentials.
Access the Multiple Widget Module:
- Navigate to the Multiple Widget section within your ControlHippo dashboard.
- Navigate to the Multiple Widget section within your ControlHippo dashboard.
Add a New Communication Channel:
- Click the + Add Channel button.
- A dropdown menu will appear, showing available communication channels (e.g., WhatsApp, Chatbot).
- Select your preferred channel to add.
Configure the Channel:
- Once you’ve selected a channel, open its settings.
- Customize the following settings:
- Channel Name: Give the channel a unique name.
- Brand Color: Choose a color code that matches your website’s branding.
- Icon Upload: Upload a custom icon for the channel.
- Welcome Text: Add a greeting message (up to 40 characters).
- Open Chat Widget by Default: Set the widget’s default position (left or right) on the website.
Rearrange Channels:
- Use the drag-and-drop functionality to organize channels in the widget list.
- Simply drag a channel and drop it into the desired position to adjust the order.
Preview and Generate the Widget Script:
- View the live preview on the right side of the screen as you make changes.
- Once satisfied, copy the auto-generated script provided below the preview to embed the widget into your website.
Manage Multiple Channels:
- You can repeat steps 3 to 5 to add more channels and customize them.
- Rearrange channels using the drag-and-drop option or delete any channel by clicking the trash icon next to it.
Chatbot Behavior on Website:
- If you add the Chatbot widget, it will open directly on the website when clicked, without redirecting to another page.
- If a user clicks on the WhatsApp icon, they will be redirected to WhatsApp Web, where a direct message is sent to the selected number.
