How to Turn ON/OFF Privacy for Channels in ControlHippo

Activating Privacy ensures that your chats remain private by disabling syncing with CRMs. Here’s how to manage privacy for your channels:

• Main Function:

  • Turning on Privacy will keep your chats private by turning off syncing with CRM platforms.

  • If your CRM is not connected to ControlHippo, your contacts will not sync.

  • Any new contact created in ControlHippo will sync with your CRM platforms.

Step 1: Log in to the ControlHippo Dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to the Channels section.

Step 3: Click "Connect" on the channel you want to link.

Step 4: On the channel page, you will find the Privacy Mode tab.

Step 5: You can turn Privacy Mode ON/OFF as needed.

Step 6: When Privacy Mode is ON:

• Previous chats will not be visible.

• If the CRM is not connected to ControlHippo, your contacts will not sync.

• New contacts created in ControlHippo will sync with your CRM platforms.
